Everyone's wrestled with the "Where do you find the time?" problem. You only have so many hours in the day and you can't accomplish everything. The real problem, however, may just be your priorities.
Author Ryan Holiday explains that, while it's true there's only 24 hours in a day, we all still manage to fit in time to do things like eat, sleep, or spend time with the people we like. Unless you're working 80 hours a week, the problem isn't time. It's priorities. You have to sacrifice something every time you choose to spend your time. If you're unhappy with what you're not able to get done, change your priorities:
Look, where do you get the time to eat three meals a day? How do you have time to do all that sleeping? How do you manage to spend all those hours with your kids or wife or a girlfriend or boyfriend? You don't get that time anywhere, do you? You just make it because it's really important. It's a non-negotiable part of your life.
Ultimately, this line of thought will lead to one of two conclusions. Either you'll find something that's worth giving up to add a new habit or hobby to your life, or you'll decide that your existing routine is more worthwhile to you. But the next time you need to add something to your schedule, rather than forcing everything together, try to figure out if your priorities can change.
