Even if you've made a considerable effort to go entirely paperless, little scraps, notes, bills, and other items crop up. A small file folder, printed from 8.5x11 paper, is a cheap, customizable container for your non-digital odds and ends.
The Vale Design firm offers up free PDF templates for a mini file folder. By default, it's just a border outline on white paper, but the creative types among us can easily apply patterns, logos, or other images to that template to match their workspace. On the same page, vintage-style labels and name tags can be grabbed and printed for labeling those mini folders or just sticking wherever you need a label. Both save you a trip to the office store for just one folder or label, and either one is a neat excuse to break out your design sense.
