Android: Almost all Android apps use the touch screen in some capacity. Perfect Viewer, however, divides the screen into hot zones for 10 different functions including zooming, panning, changing images, and more—perfect for reading comics and heavy image viewing.
Perfect Viewer is an Android-based image viewer with a strong emphasis on viewing large image collections and comics. While viewing a high resolution comic book scan on a small screen is in many ways less than ideal, in our test of Perfect View we found reading comics surprisingly comfortable. Perfect Viewer would look fantastic on an Android tablet.
Touch screen optimization is where Perfect Viewer shines. Every part of the screen is mapped out to a function of the viewer. By swiping, tapping, or holding on different parts of the screen you can zoom in and out, open files, move backwards and forwards in your picture or comic archive, and instantly fit the image to the height or width of the screen.
The screenshot below shows a landscape view of the opening pages of Daniel Leister's Escape from Wonderland series. We couldn't comfortably read it at an arm's length, but at a distance of 8-12 inches or so it was comfortable to read on the phone's screen.
Perfect Viewer is free and works wherever Android does. Download it by searching for "Perfect Viewer" in the Android Market or scanning the QR code at right.
