Your Google Profiles, the space that supposedly lets you have your say when other people are searching you, has updated with a refined look, easier editing, HTTPS connections, and the ability to hide your potentially brief experiment with Buzz from your page.
Sign in with Google and look for the "Edit Profile" button in the upper-right corner. Now you can move through your profile and click on individual bits you want to edit, Facebook-style. In fact, the entire update hints at a move toward more social networking, but we'll leave that to the prognosticators. In the meantime, you can add photos to your page (rather than rely on your last three Flickr shots, as before), provide "10 words that best describe you," and otherwise tweak your public persona. To hide that Buzz tab from public view, click over to it while in the Edit mode, then un-check the first box for "Show this tab ..."
