Use Deal Sites for Coupon Codes, Not Just Sales

Whenever you go to check out an item at an online store, don't leave that promo code text box empty! You can take a quick trip to DealsPlus or any other deals/coupons website and do a quick search for promo codes for the online store you are at. More often than not, there will be a list of promo codes that will save you a few dollars!
We've discussed deal sites like these on more than one occasion, but we didn't go into a ton of detail about the fact that you can find some pretty broad coupon codes. Craig makes a good point—if you've got these deal sites on hand, there's rarely reason to leave that coupon code box empty.
Get Experimental Twitter for Mac Features, Even Without MacHeist
We shared a Twitter trick for MacHeist buyers last week, but iLife lets us know that a few Terminal commands will do the trick for everyone else:

If you have static on your clothes, quickly swipe the garment over the water pipe that leads to the washing machine. A water pipe is about as grounded as you get and it removes static quickly.

When I trim my hair I vacuum my head afterwards to get rid of all the small sticking bastards of hair remaining. I know it sounds a bit bizar but it actually works and I don't have to wash my hair three times to get clean.
