About the Tips Box: Every day we receive boatloads of great reader tips in our inbox, but for various reasons—maybe they're a bit too niche, maybe we couldn't find a good way to present it, or maybe we just couldn't fit it in—the tip didn't make the front page. From the Tips Box is where we round up some of our favorites for your buffet-style consumption. Got a tip of your own to share? Add it in the comments, share it here, or email it to tips at lifehacker.com.
Change Mac Volume In Smaller Increments With Your Mouse
Ivan-the-terrible shows us a somewhat hidden corner of OS X:
In OS X, if you open the volume toggle at the top of the screen and hover over it with your mouse, you can raise and lower the volume by scrolling.

View Hidden Amazon Prices with the Mobile App
Jeremy lets us know how to view the prices of certain items without going to Checkout:
If you are watching prices of big ticket items on Amazon.com that require you to go to checkout to see the price, you can add them to your cart and then look at them through the Amazon mobile app cart.
The mobile app shows the prices right in the cart without the need to proceed to checkout.

So, I added Super Sticky Post-It notes to the inside of my DodoCase. I got some photo corners from my wife's scrapbooking kit and I'm set.
