We hang towels like the pros, use fishing line to reel in cable clutter, and create an alternative to retail whiteboards.

An iPhone Only Bike Mount
Vincent read how to make a handlebar phone mount and decided to make an iPhone specific one:
Although it doesn't support any other phones, it is sturdy, pretty
sleek and minimalistic. especially compared to the bulky ones that are
commercially available.Parts used:
- 1 rubber iPhone case (didn't use mine, a new one shouldn't cost over
a few bucks)
- 1 old bike mount for bike lights. The LED ones you always lose. The
light that is, not the mount
- 1 replacement DVD writer bezel.Should be well below $10
Fishing Line Reels In Your Cables
Wayne sent in a clever use for fishing line:
What I don't like about plastic ties is that I misestimate the exact size tie needed. The long ties are too wide for the pegboard holes. And you can't easily cram more than one tie through the same hole.
Here's a way to hack all those problems—Fishing line!
I use 80 lb clear monofilament line. It's super strong and super cheap. I picked up a 2100 yard reel from a bail shop sale. It's practically invisible on the job.
The easiest way to use fishing line is to loop it through the pegboard hole and join the ends together and tie a simple overhand knot. This forms a solid loop that won't slip. Then you tighten with the plastic cable tie.
Sugar and Tables Play A Role In Losing Weight
JohnnySaber has two suggestions to help you lose weight:
1) Never do anything while you eat (if you eat alone). Don't distract yourself with TV or a book at all. Sit at a table with a plate and fork and eat and enjoy the food. This way you'll actually pay attention to what you're eating and not just continue until the episode of the Simpsons is finished. This will reduce some of the disconnect between your stomach and your brain, so you'll realize you're full faster.
2) If you're used to having dessert, you'll usually crave it, and won't be full until you give your tastebuds something sweet. Get a box of some sugary cereal and have a few spoonfuls after dinner to satisfy the urge for sugar without going overboard. Sugar and salt are two things that your body wants more of the more you consume them. If you can reduce your use, it'll get easier to resist them over time and a little bit will go a longer way.
DIY Whiteboard

TheGuardian shows us a cheaper, DIY alternative to buying expensive whiteboards:
I don't know how well the whiteboard paint works/holds up, but there is a pretty affordable solution for those who want a whiteboard without dropping $50 on some 8x10 POS:
Hit up a local hardware store (somewhere that sells lumber/building materials like Lowes, HomeDepot, JustDoIt, etc) and ask for cuts of "Bath Board." It's made for lining bathrooms and showers, but can totally be used for whiteboard surfaces.
When I moved into my current digs, I got a 3'x4' piece for the living room and a generous 6'x4' for my room/workplace. Throw in a couple strips of mounting tape and you have mucho, instant whiteboard for $25ish.
Fancy Towel Folding
Evan saw a great way to fold towels so they look pretty and save space:
While staying at a resort for my sister's wedding, I saw these wonderfully attractive and efficiently hung towels in the bathroom. The folds are quite simple and quick, and the shape of the folded finger towels is good for storage.
