About the Tips Box: Every day we receive boatloads of great reader tips in our inbox, but for various reasons—maybe they're a bit too niche, maybe we couldn't find a good way to present it, or maybe we just couldn't fit it in—the tip didn't make the front page. From the Tips Box is where we round up some of our favorites for your buffet-style consumption. Got a tip of your own to share? Add it in the comments, email it to tips at lifehacker.com, or share it on our tips and expert pages.
Use Remote Desktop Apps to Watch Flash Videos on iOS
Jelte12345 shares a way to watch Flash videos on iOS:
I foud a way to sort of use Flash applications on an iOS device. You can use Teamviewer to run the application on your pc and than view it on your device. There are some kinks in it, but it's better than nothing.
We've actually done a roundup of some of the best VNC apps for the iPad that will help with this, so check those out as well.
Keep Your Mac from Going to Sleep While Transmission is Downloading
Cinnamonster reminds us of a handy feature in the Transmission BitTorrent Client:
I just noticed that Transmission has a setting now to not let the computer go to sleep while there are active transfers. I might just be late to the party or it might have been in the latest update but anyways, good news! Transmission was the only reason I ever needed InsomniaX and now it's natively implemented. Hurrah!
This has definitely been around for awhile, but it's a good tip for those unaware.
Get a $100 Discount on a New or Recently Purchased iPad

Kschang lets us know an easy way to save money on a first generation iPad:
Apple is offering refund for folks who already paid for iPad in China, when it discounted regular iPad down by over 25%. Can we expect a similar price drop here in the US? One wonders.
Apple is offering a $100 rebate to anyone that purchased an iPad 14 days before the iPad 2 announcement (which was March 2, 2011), and they're also clearing out their old inventory of first-gens with the same discount. If you weren't too wowed by the iPad 2 and feel like getting the first gen for a bit cheaper, now's a great time to grab one. Of course, you can probably find a ton of discounted used ones on eBay as well as everyone gears up for the second generation.
