We showed you how to make homemade cotton candy; now we're back with a guide to making homemade candy icicle twists for those none to fond of fluffy cotton candy.

DIY culinary blog Sprinkle Bakes shares a simple set of recipes for icicle candy. The icicle candies are made by pouring heat-softened sugar onto a baking sheet and then, while the mixture is cooling, cutting the sheet of candy into strips and twisting them into the spiral icicle shape. Although when colored blue they look distinctly icicle like you could just as easily color them red and add peppermint flavoring to make your own swirly homemade candy canes.
