/:16 We all know how important it is to keep your computer running cool, and DIYer SXRguyinMA shows us how to make a fully automated vent system for his computer to do just that.
Apart from the modded PC case (cut with a water jet cutter), the project consists of an Arduino board and a servo motor for the automation and a lighted screen that shows the temperature and other information. The Arduino checks the temperature of the computer and makes the servo motor open and close the vents depending on the computer's cooling needs, so you don't have to do as much manual fan adjustment. It's not the only way to get this job done (after all, most motherboards have temperature sensors built-in that are ripe for modding), but you can't argue its effectiveness.
