Chrome: Chrome Toolbox is a Chrome extension from Google that enhances the Chrome experience, especially for new adopters, by offering side-by-side comparisons between Chrome and other browser's shortcuts, enhanced video and image interaction, customized tab behavior, and more.
It's difficult to describe Chrome Toolbox in a single sentence because of the hodgepodge of useful but significantly different tools all brought together in one extension. Chrome Toolbox offers enhanced image and video interaction. Hovering over an image pulls up a toolbar where you can magnify it, view the original, or set it as wallpaper. You can drag video frames right out of the browser window and into a stand alone window. You can also change tab behaviors like always opening new links in new tabs, double clicking a tab to close it, and more. There is a quick launch manager that will open all links in a bookmarks folder using an ALT+# combination. One of the smallest features of Chrome Toolbox, but a remarkably handy one, is the "Mute All Tabs" shortcut (ALT+W). Sometimes you don't know which tab has the loud and annoying ad in it and you'd rather not look through them all to make it stop.
In addition to the media and tab tweaks, Chrome Toolbox places an icon on your Chrome toolbar with a drop down menu containing your most frequently used shortcuts and their equivalent keyboard shortcuts. If there is a keyboard shortcut or menu item for a given task, you can add it to the drop down menu. Within the options menu (seen in the screenshot above) you can also compare shortcuts from other browsers against the shortcuts in Chrome. Both the comparison and the keyboard shortcuts in the drop down menu are extremely handy for new adopters who need help learning Chrome's shortcuts.
