I don’t think they’re too advanced. Most of these poses are part of beginner yoga classes. The photos might show the ideal/more challenging form, but each of these can be modified. Tree pose, for example, with the foot of the bent leg resting on the other leg’s ankle instead of held at the inner thigh or triangle pose… Read more
The logistics of that isn’t addressed in the book, unfortunately. If a charity near you picks up books or furniture, though, that’s the best recourse. (In my area, Big Brothers Big Sisters takes an obscene number of boxes of books and they also accept stuffed animals, which you can’t even give away for free) Read more
The participants had to log in to a site that recorded their daily practice, so there’s that. There’s always some doubt when it comes to self-reported data, but I think if the volunteers were taking the time to record their progress every day they were probably doing the exercises. Read more

Definitely harder when you have a family. My husband’s massive collection of movie DVDs bothers me sometimes, but perhaps my massive collection of books bothers him, so it balances it. I think it’s the concept of prepping a week’s work of slow cooker meals in a couple of hours one day a week. Assembly line prep sort of stuff on one day that pays off the rest of the week (or so I hear). Or making “freezer meals”: This is an extreme example of it. Read more
