Windows: Your smartphone's built-in text prediction is pretty fantastic, and if you'd like something similar on Windows, A.I.type is the answer. As you type, it will predict words for you and you can autocomplete them with the tap of a key.

It takes a bit of getting used to at first, but fans of autocomplete in the Terminal, on Google, and elsewhere know how helpful this can be—especially if you're a slow typer. You can also adjust how quickly the prediction window shows up, which is handy since everyone types at different speeds. It's also great for making sure you spell more difficult words correctly.

The other awesome feature of A.I.type is quick word translation. If you typing in a language that isn't your native one, you can quickly translate any word as you type. Just head into the app's preferences to enable it.

A.I.type is a free download for Windows only. If you prefer the way the iPhone and Microsoft Word autocorrect misspelled words, there are ways to add that to Windows too.
