"Always be prepared," the motto of the boy scouts, isn't a bad one to live by. You may not need a backup battery most days, or multiple USB flash drives, but they don't take up much space and, when needed, they're indispensable. Reader Brian Geraghty assembled a go bag with a GRID-IT stuffed full with preparation.
The bag is a British Belt Company Antique Cruz Leather Briefcase. Let's take a look at what's inside:
- Black Padfolio with Yellow Plastic folder (always with itinerary and proof of company auto insurance for travel)
- Zebra F-301 Pens (not pictured)
- Aladdin 24oz water bottle
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0 7" tablet
- iPhone 5S (not pictured)
- Logitech Bluetooth Tablet Keyboard
- Lenovo T430
- J. Crew Magic Wallet for Business
- WD 2.5" 250GB USB hard drive
- 32GB SanDisk Cruzer flash drive (on keychain, not pictured)
- Microsoft Arc Mouse
- Verizon Jetpack
- Samsung Galaxy S4
Brian also uses a 12" GRID-IT for organization, and here's what he keeps in it:
- 2 Micro USB cables
- 1 Mini B USB cable
- 1 Lightning cable
- SoundMAGIC E10 Headphones (black case with red zipper)
- Black Tea (Target)
- Alka-seltzer
- Tums Ultra
- Fitbit Force charger (for Fitbit Force, not pictured)
- 3 USB charging bricks
- Chapstick
- Kocaso 2600mAh Batter charger
- Altoids
- Targus Foldable Laptop Stand
- Airline Loyalty Card attached to shoulder strap loop (in case the bag is lost)
- SelfSeal Self Adhesive Laminating Pouches
