@chris-mcc (and @everyone else having a good laugh): Actually, I probably had a little too much coffee (stored at room temp) and accidentally refreshed a page I shouldn't have, creating the twin coffee realities. But you guys did make my morning snafu a lot easier to take. Read more

@shatteredmindofbob: Google Calendar syncs with Blackberries, of course, and being the GCal nerd I am, that makes a Lightning/Thunderbird synced up with it. Your mileage, of course, will almost certainly vary ;) Read more

@screwtape: Well, then I should have mentioned in the feature that you can always go to your personal Jott web site and fix any transcriptions that come out funky. I don't think it "trains" anybody or any computer, but it helps if you're using "Link" services like Google Calendar or Remember The Milk. Read more

@screwtape: Have you tried spelling out long words and proper nouns? I've found that Jott almost never misses when you go slow enough for it to catch the letters. Read more

@jrishel: Thanks for the update. I've changed the wording to hopefully avoid misleading folks—I may never use the phrase "most" and "Linux distributions" in the same sentence ever again ;) Read more

Hey all: I changed the screenshot on the post for better read-ability (and because the distortion on the first one was uglifying the whole front page). Read more

@aidan_cage: Couldn't find any information on Shorten files specifically, but it does handle MediaMonkey fies, if that's any help. Read more

@jorsch: Wow. Your attention to detail during the morning hours is admirable. I hadn't noticed! Read more

@JoeAtTrends: You can create new documents locally and save to Office Live—that's what I should have made more explicit when I said "web-enabled 'Open' and 'Save' functions." Read more

@Gina: Indeed, and while it's mentioned in the article, I probably should have fit that into the post. Also: I prefer the mellower tang of lime ;) Read more

@ihakes: Not bad. I'm definitely trying that one out—I haven't dared to tackle the leftovers from last weekend's tailgating shindig. Read more

@LaneLester: Yes to the typo, and semi-yes to the intention. To me, cell phone shots (esp. under-lit shots) always look "noisy" or "grainy." Read more

@Deprong Mori: You're right about the use of the "diet" tag, but we try not to expand the already bewildering forest of tags in the LH database, so it's often hard to nail certain posts down precisely (though I suppose "Food" would've been just fine) Read more

@DogHead: It has since moved to a pay-for app, but I always put Xteq X-Setup on any new XP install and got to tweaking. I think you can still find a full, free version 6.1 (or maybe 6.2) floating around ... I'll post a link later if I find it. Read more

@MarkC: It still appears (from both the TSA site and AP articles) that all loose lithiums are banned from checked luggage, but can be brough in carry-on. You're right, however, that Lithium Metal batteries are going to be tough to bring along. Read more
