From a gadget/business perspective, I don't imagine we'll feel the impact of Steve's absence for a long time. In 1987, Jobs had the vision for Apple that's largely the same as what we've arrived at today (24 years in advance), and I'm sure his remarkable vision extends years into the future, as well. My speculation on this is prob just as accurate as anyone on the street. If I had to guess, I'd say next June, but they could easily have moved to a new cycle. Or, if Will Smith from Tested is right, iterations could be slowing down significantly with smartphones. Read more
Ha, good question. For me, there's a pretty close connection between following a plan and actually accomplishing a goal. If I don't have a plan and schedule laid out, I'm not that likely to actually finish the project—especially if it's something that's not mission critical, like a home project. Read more
