I do great work.

Am seeing about getting this back on the permalink pages. Links to the other sites are still there on the home page. Read more

As you said, we certainly care. What's more, "abject failure" isn't accurate by any measure I know of. The initial redesign launch was, admittedly, a disaster, but it was more because things literally were not working—that is, bugs with functionality—more than it was problems with design. Not that there haven't been Read more

Short of the trolling hell-hole comment, I agree, notifications should sync; I've requested as much from our tech team, and hopefully we can get it taken care of. Read more

Yes, I've heard this before. But guess what: Every time we add new features we write about how they work, confusing or not. Whether or not you like the design, this is a silly and trite argument. You don't need to customize the navigation. But you can if you'd like to. We've always provided small ways to customize the Read more

Oh, and re: links at the bottom of the page: They're there on the front page, but you're right, looks like we lost them on permalinks. I'll see if we can get something back. Read more

Agree wholeheartedly re: comment threads. Will be fighting for that. Read more

I kind of miss that orange flame, too. I'll beg and plead, but I don't think it's coming back. Read more

Basically what's happening isn't that it's going to "top stories" view—essentially "top stories" view just refers to the front page with the top 7 most recent posts. So while the sidebar appears on all permalink pages, that's not the top stories view you're looking at. That's just the way permalink pages look. That Read more

We've certainly been keeping an eye on it. Read more

Something to consider. My local grocery store doesn't do rewards anyway, so not really an issue for me. Read more

I'm notoriously cheap about new gadgets (though I've also become a bit more of a spendthrift in recent years—gotta check myself sometimes!), mostly, I suppose, due to some deep-rooted midwestern-instilled beliefs about waste and money and so on. But you're right, ISP+phone isn't peanuts, either. Read more

There are some options out there, but I don't believe there are any that are quite ready for primetime (someone correct me if I'm wrong). E.g., [sparkleshare.org] Read more

Didn't reply to this yesterday b/c it seemed like a hard one to answer, but... I suppose it's not really. I generally don't spend a ton on gadgets—I'm the kind of person who, most of the time, uses hardware to death. E.g., I just got a MacBook Air end of last year, but I'd been using a 2006 MacBook Pro previous to Read more

It's not quite perfect right now, but the Apple TV makes for a really cheap and capable XBMC media center. Read more

Ah, so Google sync is a must. Don't know how good it is, but maybe GoDocs would do what you need? Read more

Ha, not sure. I haven't tried this, but fun idea. Anyone? Read more
