Prince Ari wants to be the very best. Like no one ever was. So he fired up GeekTool and built this customized desktop that gives him plenty of room to work, and reflects his love for Pokémon—he even gave us three flavors, so you can choose the starter Pokémon you prefer. Here's how he did it.

Prince Ari submitted his desktop to our Desktop Showcase, which is what you should do if you want to see it featured here. All you have to do is post a screenshot to your Kinja blog (the one that came with your commenter account), and include links to the wallpaper, widgets, skins, and tools you used to customize it.

If you want the same look on your Mac, here's what you'll need to set it all up:

If you're not a Charmander fan, he also shared two more desktops below—one each featuring Bulbasaur and Squirtle:

That's all there is to it. If you need a little help with GeekTool or want to know how Prince Ari got everything just the way he has it displayed above, check out our guide to getting started with GeekTool, or head over to his Kinja blog to leave a comment. Don't forget to tell him how much you like his work!

Do you have a good-looking, functional desktop of your own to show off? Share it with us! Post it to your personal Kinja blog using the tag desktop showcase or add it to our Lifehacker Desktop Show and Tell Flickr pool. Screenshots must be at least at least 640x360 and please include information about what you used, links to your wallpaper, skins, and themes, and any other relevant details. If your awesome desktop catches our eye, you might get featured!
